The history of this building dates back to 1890
The barracks complex, intended for the Prussian 5th Tabor Battalion (Train Bataillon), was built in 1890-1892 following a project by architect Carl Bode. The building of today’s restaurant served as a multi-purpose outbuilding, which included a kitchen, a dining hall for non-commissioned officers, a dining hall for privates, a soldiers’ canteen, a regimental bathhouse and the apartment of the canteen keeper. It successfully served various military purposes until the mid-1960’s. In 1965, a kindergarten opened in the building, which operated here until 2012. In 2013, CDF Architekci obtained a building permit for the UBIQ 34 office complex, which opened in April 2015. TU. REStAURANT appeared on the map of Poznań on July 1, 2022.
